Micro-needling isn’t new, in fact it’s been around since the early 1990’s but has recently been given a new lease of a life with the introduction of the micro-needling pen, which enables the therapist to treat the more troublesome and delicate areas around the eyes and mouth etc more effectively. Micro-needling is a non invasive facial treatment to help achieve dewy, youthful looking skin, by stimulating the production of your own natural collagen and elastin.
Not only is it an anti-ageing treatment, helping to diminish the appearance of fine lines, enlarged pores, tightening sagging skin etc, micro-needling can also help address; acne scarring and pigmentation.
All our micro-needling treatments include a facial cleansing treatment, ClinicCare Painless Instant Silky Peel Treatment and your choice of Mesotherapy elixir as standard.

What is micro-needling?
Micro-needling uses a small, single use cartridge, that has 12 small fine needles inside. The device is passed across the face and causes micro trauma to the skin, at varying depths, dependent on the area being treated. As a result of the minute puncture tracks, the body floods these areas with fresh collagen and elastin, the natural healing & repair elements in the skin – the areas of the face that had been previously lacking in these will be rejuvenated and refreshed as part of the healing process.
What happens during a micro-needling treatment?
During your initial appointment a full and in-depth consultation will take place to determine what you would like to achieve from your treatment. From that I will be able to formulate a bespoke treatment plan for you and advise which mesotherapy cocktails and home care would be most suitable based on your requirements.
Does Micro-needling hurt?
You shouldn’t experience any severe pain with the treatment as a topical anesthetic cream is applied to your skin prior to the treatment. You may have some blood spotting on the skin during the treatment, however this is what we are trying to achieve so that the mesotherapy cocktails can enter the layers of the skin better and that the collagen and elastin flood the area to help heal and thus rejuvenating the skin. You may have some “downtime” after the treatment, whereby the skin is red and flushed for several hours, however by using the sheet mask during the treatment this minimises the time.
When will I see the benefits of the treatment?
Following your treatment, your skin will begin to heal very quickly, with new collagen forming each day. It takes approximately 6 weeks for visible signs of repair and rejuvenation to be seen and the transformation process will continue over the following months.
At Omni Therapy Rooms, we recommend that you undergo a series of 3 treatments, approximately 6 weeks apart to ensure optimal results. When treating acne scars and other skin scarring, it is often necessary to extend your treatment plan by up to 5 or 6 treatments.
Micro-needling can be used as a combination treatment with other cosmetic procedures, such as chemical peels. At your initial consultation we will recommend the best course of treatment for your specific skin condition.
